Service learning opportunity … moonlight hike to spot gators … tour of the UGA Marine Institute … boat trip off the Georgia coast … group T shirts … FRC is returning to Sapelo Island!

On Oct. 26-28, UGA’s fall break, we will take 20 students to Sapelo Island for a service learning expedition. We’ll set off in two vans early Friday and return to Athens Sunday night. The cost of $35/ student includes transportation, activities, lodging, and meals at the Sapelo facility:

FRC members going to Sapelo will be required to attend the presentation by Damon Gannon on Fri., Sept. 21, 4 pm in the Rutherford programming room, as well as a mandatory pre-trip orientation in October.

Please respond to the survey below if you are interested! The survey will be open until Thursday, Sept. 27. Priority will be given by seniority (time in residence at FRC) and participation (points for activities). We plan to resume annual trips to Sapelo and so students returning to FRC for 2019-20 will have another opportunity to see the Marine Institute.
