Image: Congratulations to our DAs, and thank you for an outstanding year. Fall 2018 brought FRC’s triumphant return to Sapelo Island – a place no one in our group had ever visited before – and our DAs worked hard to make sure that everything went smoothly, from the van rides to the meals and activities. Through the efficient leadership of Zoë Pattyn our academic events always featured hot tea and stimulating conversation with UGA faculty, on a range of topics from preventing malaria to the role of race in Hollywood. The intrepid Grace Lane led us on adventures to the Food Bank, Sweet Olive Farm, and the Athens Humane Society, navigating our service projects with infectious enthusiasm. And among other accomplishments William Evans harnessed his skills in website design to revitalize our social media presence, producing the video that helped raise our recruitment to record levels. FRC relies on its student leaders, and this year’s Director’s Assistants worked together beautifully to build a foundation for the coming year. Thank you and have a great summer!
