Jeffery John

Hello! My name is Jeffery John, and I'm a 4th year Computer Science major with an emphasis in Software Design, a minor in Public Policy and Management, and the Applied Data Science and New Media Certificates. In my free time, I like 3D printing, aquariums, and attending events around the Franklin Residential College! After graduation, I'd like to pursue roles in program management and hope to help develop cyber infrastructure.

I started at UGA in the summer through Freshman College (now called Thrive). From there, I grew into the Residence Hall Association and living-learning communities, which inspired me to apply to the Franklin Residential College. I had the opportunity to present at TEDxUGA's Student Idea Showcase in Fall 2019, and joined the Small Satellite Research Laboratory as mission operations shortly before the launch of our first cubesat, SPOC. As time has gone by, I've loved watching technical student groups grow, including UGAHacks, the Association for Computing Machinery, and Data for Good. I can't wait to see where they go next!
