The FRC has been one of the greatest blessings of my time at UGA. Nothing compares to the special community that is formed within the walls of Rutherford. Being a part of the FRC, you know your neighbors! You do service together, you learn together, you have fun together, and you eat cookies together, so the community this creates is different from anything else you will find on campus. I gained friends and mentors who I knew I could go to if I had questions or needed support, and during college I really needed that sometimes. Rutherford became more than just a dorm; it was a home. From exploring the pristine Sapelo Island and planting sugar cane to snow days on the quad, my time with the FRC has given me memories-and relationships- that will last forever!
