Image: On April 21, FRC welcomed Mr. Michael Thurmond, CEO of Dekalb County, for a lively conversation about his book A Story Untold: Black Men and Women in Athens History. Students received copies of the 40th anniversary edition (2018), and spoke with Mr. Thurmond about his upbringing in Athens, the historic Gospel Pilgrim Cemetery, his political career, and unfolding events in Georgia today.
