Plant Swap Cookie Night

Plant Swap

On April 3rd, FRC hosted a new approach to their weekly cookie nights by swapping plants among their residents! Some residents swapped smaller plants, like mint and succulents, while many others propagated larger plants, like aloe vera and pothos plants. Our Sustainability chair, Tiffanie Torrey, educated residents on how to take care of their new plants, including how much sunlight and water each of the plants need. In addition, she walked residents through the steps of propagating a plant, from where to cut the stem to how far the stem should be planted in soil. Our Social chair, Sam Dilley, provided small planting pots, potting soil, rooting powder, spray bottles, and starter plants for this event.
