On Monday, Jan. 27, FRC welcomed Ms. Linda Davis, founder of the Friends of Brooklyn Cemetery, and local historian Mr. Fred Smith for a panel discussion of African-American history and burial practices in Athens.

FRC had the opportunity to speak with detainees at Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, GA for our MLK day of service. Thanks to the volunteers at the hospitality house El Refugio for coordinating our visit!

On Wednesday, January 15th, FRC members gathered in the Rutherford Programming Room for our first esteemed movie night of the year! The night's theme was "M", for marvelous and magical movies that started with the letter M.

On Friday, January 10th, the FRC held the annual spring Welcome Back meeting to introduce and welcome six new members to the FRC family and relay important information about the program to everyone in attendance. Pertinent information was discussed in the meeting, such as:
